Dr Anthony Ogoe
Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytical Psychotherapist

I am a qualified Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist and experienced Group Facilitator, with a background of working across diverse settings including the NHS (inpatient and outpatient), forensic, educational, and the voluntary sector. I offer a safe, consistent, and thoughtful space where children, adolescents, and families can explore emotional difficulties, build resilience, and enhance their overall well-being.

I have a particular interest in the role that our individual narratives and social identities play in shaping a young person’s inner world. The complexities of belonging, difference, intergenerational dynamics, and cultural expectations can have a profound influence on emotional development. My practice is sensitive to these experiences, and I aim to provide a therapeutic space that is inclusive, reflective, and attuned to each individual’s unique social context.

Alongside my clinical work with young people and families, I am deeply committed to supporting professionals through the facilitation of reflective practice groups, staff support sessions, and team consultations. These spaces offer teams an opportunity to process the emotional impact of their work, think collaboratively about the needs of the children in their care, and strengthen relational and professional cohesion. I believe that emotionally supported teams are better placed to provide thoughtful, attuned care for vulnerable young people.

Additionally I support non-clinical teams such as creatives and public facing institutions. By holding individual and group space for reflections, we have been able to nurture a shared process of curiosity, tolerance for complexity, and emotional containment. This helps teams move from reactive to reflective functioning, improving communication, mutual understanding, and professional resilience. Importantly, reflective practice becomes a form of emotional support for staff. It validates the challenges of the work, reduces isolation by sharing experience, and fosters a sense of collective purpose.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in psychoanalytic thinking. I aim to build trusting therapeutic relationships that create space for reflection, growth, and meaningful change.
